David Thompson focuses on trust and estate matters for individuals, families, and institutions.

David counsels clients during all stages of disputes, including before litigation, in mediation, and at trial. He has extensive experience litigating trust, probate, and elder abuse matters. He advises trustees and personal representatives in the administration of trusts and estates and has conducted and defended depositions.

Prior to joining Coblentz, David was an associate with the Law Offices of Timothy J. Chambers and Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP.

David is a member of the East Bay Trusts & Estates Lawyers, the Robert G. McGrath American Inn of Court, and the Contra Costa Bar Association.

David earned his J.D. from University of California College of the Law, San Francisco (Hastings) in 2013, and served as an editor of the Hastings Communications and Entertainment Law Journal. He received his B.S. in Business Administration from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo in 2010.
